Frequent Questions
These sessions are tailored to your exact experience level—whether you’re a complete beginner getting comfortable with your camera or an experienced photographer looking to deepen specific skills. We start right where you are and build from there in a way that feels supportive and confidence‑boosting.
Absolutely. Photography is for everyone, and you don’t need any prior experience to get started. Think of it as a new way of seeing the world and retraining how you look at it. As long as you bring a bit of curiosity and a willingness to explore, you’re already in the right place. I’ll guide you step by step in a way that feels comfortable and encouraging.
You can absolutely use the camera you already have. The core skills of photography don’t depend on owning specific gear, so we can work with anything—from a phone to a DSLR or mirrorless setup. And if you’re curious whether different equipment might support your growth, we can explore that together during the session.
In‑person sessions usually take place in and around Northampton, MA, where we have plenty of great spots to work with. We’ll pick a location that matches your goals and the conditions of the day. I can travel to other locations as well, with travel fees added based on distance.
Scheduling is simple. Just send me a message with the type of session you’re interested in, and we’ll find a time that works for both of us. Once we confirm it, I’ll get it on the calendar. Before your first session, I’ll send a short questionnaire so I can understand your goals—and then the fun begins.
Life can be unpredictable, so I handle changes as flexibly as I can. If you need to adjust your session, just reach out anytime. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a 50% fee, since that time is set aside specifically for you. If a session has to be fully cancelled and can’t be rescheduled, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to a friend.
